"Wrong End of the Rope"
"36x 64" oil on canvas
I have been in some predicaments in my day but when I approached the
for the murder of Seth Thompson, I knew I stepped in it up to my
knee. They mus 've been
waiting for me as they had iron pulled before I even rode up on them.
Cactus Pete cracked a wide
grin and said, "I think maybe you at the wrong end of the rope Mr.
Lawman". I definitely was, I
could see that. As they all broke into sole cutting laughter I took
advantage of their entertainment
at my expense to saddle up and ride away. I figure laughter saved my
hide that day but I will
be back, and there will be no laughter when I commence to shooting.
